Best Websites for Baseball Spring Training
Everyone wants the scoop on what's happening on their favorite team-or even who's a threat on their least favorite team-but in order to find these things out, you've got to have some place to go. So, here is a list of the top 5 sites that will keep you in the know on the ins and outs of your team during spring training.
- Site: Spring Training Online
Pros: This site has just about anything and everything that you could possibly want to know about what's going on with your team and with the stadium. It's got all the dates for training, as well as convenient links down the left hand side where you can choose whatever team you're looking for.
Cons: It's kind of hard to navigate the site and find exactly what you're looking for sometimes. Also, it's got good, interesting articles, but it's kind of hard to find articles about the team you're looking for and to find relevant articles. Overall, the site is best for finding information on the arenas and training schedules.
Pros: This is the official MLB site, so if you want accurate news straight from the source, this is the best place to go. It's got everything and anything straight from the league itself. This is also a great place to find out things about specific players as well.
Cons: Again, it's pretty hard to navigate until you get used to it. It takes a little looking and searching in order to find exactly what you're looking for.
- Site: Cactus League Official Site
Pros: This is the official site of the Cactus League, so if you're team's part of that league then this is a little more focused in on them, so it's easier to find out the exact schedule, order tickets to go to games, and find directions to the stadiums.
Cons: It took me a little while to figure out that the team logos at the top are the actual links to the team pages. Also, it doesn't have news about how spring training is going.
- Site:Spring Training
Pros: A site that's pretty easy to follow and to navigate. It's got great in-depth coverage, especially of players. It's easy to find their stats and see who's leading in stats so far and everything, which is always a handy thing to have. It also has the team schedules and such as well as archives from past years' spring training.
Cons: It seems to be a bit lacking on the news aspect of spring training, so it might not have exactly up-to-date, day-by-day coverage of events.
- Site:MLB Network
Pros: This is a really neat site. It's got news coverage of spring training as well as videos of spring training, etc. It's a site that keeps you very well-informed.
Cons: Again, it's a little hard to navigate. It's difficult to find exactly the sort of information you're looking for.
